Out of love, sacrifice is born,
Justice is undetermined
blood and fire
the time is forever unstopping

Grey clouds storm by
fields dyed in crimson
Seas exhausted with oil and fire
the red poppies sway with solitude

Silence, hush hush
crescendo, birds fluttering away
but the cages descend on us
for escape is futile

Love gives birth to sacrifice, which brings forth hatred and let you know pain - Pein, Naruto Shippuden Episode 166.

This is dedicated to Remembrance Day, the 11th of the 11th month at 11 o'clock when World War I was brought to an end. However, many lives were lost, and many were brought back home injured, whether it be an eye, a leg or an arm, we shall never forget war.

I wrote this, with a prompt of life and love (emotion), with my partner ~bloomripe

Annotations:
Out of love, sacrifice is born This one is fairly easy; protecting the ones we love and because of this, the one we wish to protect still hurt because of our sacrifice
Justice is undetermined What is justice? It's just not about having a fair go. We 'execute' the bad guys because we have to. But, what was their reason? Their motive?
Blood and fire War rages on and on
The time forever unstopping Because no matter how much you want it to stop, it won't.

Grey clouds storm by The storm slowly drifts by
The fields dyed in crimson The blood stains the battlefied
Seas exhausted with oil and fire The fire is from the ship burning on the seas, the oil is from the engine.
The red poppies sway with solitude The red poppies are left as a reminder, as a peace sign.

Silence, hush hush There's an eerie silence left on the battlefield
Cresendo, birds fluttering away We are the birds, that try to fly but...
But the cages descend on us but there are cages that still entrap on us, this is God's punishment
for escape is futile </> because no matter what, war will always happen.

I think it's odd that it's a poem about war, but the title implies that it's about love's relationship with sacrifice. My guess is the poem got away from you while you were writing it. I don't think that you should necessarily get rid of the whole war thing, especially as the imagery is exceptional, but you may want to add more in the beginning showing how sacrifice for love leads or relates to war. Then, at the end, tie that all back into love and sacrifice instead of ending abruptly in the middle of your description of war and leaving the thought unfinished and the poem seemingly incomplete.
